How to Cultivate
Black Phantom Tetra Fish

characteristics. The rest is more about your consistency in looking after
them.)
Breeding black phantom tetra fish requires knowledge
about the fish themselves. For starters, these fish can be found in upper
Paraguay and central Brazil. From the climate of the area, you can tell what to
do next. How to cultivate Black Phantom
Tetra fish also requires knowledge about the fish’s characteristics.
Here are some things to note down if this is your
first time breeding fish. If black phantom tetra fish is your choice, then it
is good. They are very resilient and able to adapt to quick water changes.
1.
The tank setup.
Just because the fish are resilient does not mean you
can lack caring for them. You still need to keep the tank clean. Remove the
food debris regularly and change the water frequently. If the tank is rather
crowded, change about 30% of water at least once a week.
2.
The tank requirement.
Black phantom tetra fish are social creatures. They
swim in groups, so make sure the tank is not too small. Make the length at
least 20 inches and the tank has to have the capacity for 29 gallons of water.
The water should be soft, and peat-filtering must be installed.
Leave the tank centre open by putting plants aside. That
will give them enough space to swim around together. The tank should also have
dim lighting, with the water pH level of 6.5 and 10 dGH hardness. Do not forget
to put a tight lid on top, since black phantom tetra fish are also active
jumpers. They might flee out of the tank.
3.
The feeding.
As omnivores, these fish can eat veggies and animal
meat. You can give them plants, tiny insects, crustaceans, and worms. They also
accept micro pellets.
4.
The breeding.
The standard procedure includes setting the water pH
level to 5.5 or 6 and hardness to dH4. A female fish can produce up to 300 eggs
per mating. You can go with a male and a few female fish.
That is how to
cultivate Black Phantom Tetra fish.
